PHI Center

The Pregnancy Help & Information Center is a ministry whose purpose is to help women, and the men in their lives, who face pregnancy or parenting in difficult circumstances. With that in mind, they are reaching families by building relationships with, and providing support to, moms, dads, children, and unborn babies. Every Mothers Day, the Pregnancy Help & Information Center (PHI) distributes baby bottles to help raise funds for this ministry.  This was done on Sunday, May 12, 2013. This is a ministry of LIFE and we encourage you to fill them with  checks, cash, or coins in whatever amount the Lord leads you, and bringing the bottles back Sunday, May 19, 2013. This is an opportunity to give back to others and to help “one of the least of these”.

Worship Together Sunday, May 26, 2013

Worship Together Sunday is a wonderful opportunity for families to worship with one another, and for us as a church family to all worship together. Our busy lives separate us from one another. This is an opportunity for the children of our congregation to see adults worshiping, praying and listening to the Word of God. We all know that children watch our actions more than they listen to our words.

The Life Enrichment Center near Leesburg, Florida on Lake Griffin, is offering a “Family Camp” July 22–25, 2013. You can join families from across the state as they explore what it means to be a family of faith in a chaotic world. Each family gets private lodging with private bath. If your family would like more information on this opportunity, please contact Beth (http://www.kumconline.org/www.bdemme@kumconline.org). This trip is designed for a parent/grandparent and child to experience serving our Lord together, while growing in their faith and growing in their relationship one to another. The trip is planned for August 3–10, 2013. The trip is limited to 15 people. Please come to the meeting Sunday to have your questions answered or call Chris Smith in the church office.

Help Needed At The Ranch!

The Florida Conference is gearing up to begin building Phase One of the Madison Youth Ranch over the course of the next two years. The Ranch will serve as the north campus for the Florida United Methodist Children's Home and be built on over 300 acres of beautiful land just outside of Madison, Florida. It will be a residential facility for hurting children and will eventually provide therapeutic residential care, independent living, career development, spiritual growth, and more. There are some needs that we are hoping folks in our congregation will be able to help furnish as we prepare to begin building the ranch.

Needed Equipment List:
 •    Dump truck with at least a 5 yard capacity
 •    Track excavator (medium to large) capacity
 •    Back Hoe with a 4/1 front bucket and a 24" and 30" shovel on the hoe
 •    Electric dump trailer (7' x 14') with 4' sides
 •    10 ton heavy equipment trailer (goose neck) 20' to 24'
 •    Dozer to push and level out roadways  6' to 8' front blade
 •    7' to 16' light trailer for hauling lumber
 •    Industrial chipper for trees
 •    Bobcat skidder with bucket/forklift/grapple attachments

On behalf of those who will be loved on this new campus, I want to thank you for your consideration of this request and continued commitment to help children in need.
