KILLEARN KIDS CAMPS
We are committed to sharing God's love and the Word with families that come to our campus. We want every child to know they are loved and cared for by the Lord. Our staff is trained to provide an atmosphere where children feel appreciated and can be themselves. Activities are chosen to provide children with an opportunity to learn, grow, and most importantly HAVE FUN!
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The After School Program accommodates students from kindergarten through fifth grade, and includes outdoor play, crafts, homework room, Wednesday Chapel, free choices and other forms of structured and unstructured play. We will pick up your children from school and bring them to our campus. We pick up from the following schools: Desoto Trail, Roberts, Killearn Lakes, and Hawks Rise. Leon County Schools will drop off from: Gilchrist. Students must be picked up by 6 PM.

Children must be registered on a monthly basis. Our preferred payment method is online, but you may give your check to a staff member at drop off.

While on campus your child will participate in various activities that are listed below. The classes will have 45 minute sessions that they will rotate through during the day.
Lunch and Snack
Your child will need to bring a nutritious lunch every day. A sack lunch is preferred, but lunch boxes are acceptable. We will supply an afternoon snack for your child.
Our Bible teacher will be sharing God’s word with the children through scripture, games, and activities that will help campers to understand and apply God’s truths to their lives.
Campers will be exposed to a wide variety of music, and activities, and will have fun learning the songs and motions of our camp musical held each year in July.
Arts and Crafts
In art, we believe the process is more important than the product. Your children will be able to explore many mediums to make their own creations. They will also work on projects that build on the weekly Bible lesson.
Video Game Room
This room is a favorite with many of our campers. The children can choose from an assortment of “E” and “K” rated games to use on our various game systems.
Our staff will lead games to keep your kids physically active and having fun. Teamwork, fair play and sensitivity to others’ feelings is promoted. (Leader will stop games for regular water breaks.)
Room time gives our campers a time to kick back, and choose what they want to do in their classroom. Board games, manipulatives, and drawing materials are provided for the children. Special counselor led projects are often done at this time.
After lunch and playground time the whole camp retires to their rooms for rest and relaxation. While the campers are stretched out resting, they are read aloud to by their counselors and then given the opportunity to pull out their own books from home for individual reading time. This is a great time to let your children get their summer reading done.
Field Trips and More
Our first through sixth graders enjoy two field trips a week. Our kindergartners follow a typical preschool schedule with more time in the classroom for centers, and one field trip a week. We go to various kid-friendly destinations in the Tallahassee area, and a swimming outing as well. Certified lifeguards are always close at hand to keep an eye on your children. Your children will also get to enjoy special events on our campus such as waterslides, assemblies and more.
Swim options: Killearn Lakes Swim Club, Wakulla Springs, Jack McLean Aquatics Center
Potential field trip destinations: Crenshaw Lanes, Skate World, Fun Station, area parks, museums, Painted Pony Farm, Marianna Caverns, Panacea Marine Lab and more.
